授業概要
授業タイトルにある「文法の理論」とは言語学の一部門である統語論 (統辞論、構文論とも呼ばれます) を指しています。統語論とは、非常におおざっぱには、語が集まって文ができる仕組みを科学的に解明しようとする学問分野で、本格的な統語論研究はアメリカの言語学者チョムスキー (1928-) によって創始されたとみなされています。この演習では、構成素、句構造規則、変形といった統語論の基本概念を学ぶと同時に、変形文法を経て「原理とパラメータのアプローチ」および「制約に基づく文法理論」が登場してきた背景を理解し、それらを用いて実際の言語分析を実際に行ってみます。
